[Typo3-dev] In php search all pages below a UID

Hey,

I was wondering if there is a function in the typo3 core that gives me a 
array back
with all pages below a random UID.
Simular to rootline which gives me a array up, but then below the page 
with UID.

I checked different sources like http://typo3api.ueckermann.de/main.html 
but no success yet.
