Yes I agree with you. And since I was happy to use your extension right
today :-) I had a look at the function.

I'm still undecided if it is a problem to read any variable you like but it
would definitely not hurt if the getObjectPathValue would work for (at
least) the "tsfe" and the "global" parameters in the getData function.

Are you fine with this? Are there any non-global variables which would
require a new option for getData?

True. I was happy to use it to insert the email address of an fe_user into a
