[Typo3-dev] 3.8.0 release

The current "rte" extension is NOT a system extension and therefore it
will not be distributed with TYPO3 in the future and people have to add
it independantly. This will however NOT break compatibility for existing
sites because for existing sites the "rte" extension is already
available with the global extensions (which will be an empty directory
for the core in the future).

So this leaves room for another multi-platform RTE to be distributed
with TYPO3 in the future. But we have to complete it in terms of
configuration, link-browser and image-browser. I don't know the status
of that.
