copyright != license
GPL is a license. You own the copyright of your work anyway. The GPL
works *because* of copyright law.
Any new, non-derivative TS is probably not necessarily GPLed. But if you
build-on and use eg css_styled_content, which TS-code I assume now is
GPLed, that your code has to be GPLed as well.
PHP-Code of extensions OTOH have always to be GPLed. They run in the
TYPO3 context and are as such derivative works.
