it is a problem on ANY database that sticks to the basic rules of databases.
The point why we didn't supply a patch is that if you want to use DBAL 
for some DB other than mySQL 4 we would have to think about a general 
change in strategy which is on Kaspers desk right now.

Does this mean making UIDs negative does not work or that our extension 
does not work.
