basicly you have only one chance: if extdevaval provides means to be
XCLASSED you can XCLASS EXTDEVEVAL instead.(Or of course vice versa,
make EXTDEVEVAL an XCLASS of your XCLASS)

That's exactly why the concept of hooks has been started to be used.
