[Typo3-dev] Modules not working in 3.7.0?

Hey guys,

I just took over a project which makes heavy use of BE Modules under the 
WEB Module.

These are NOT (!) extensions, they are bound in the old way as a 
directory within typo3/mod/web/.
As far as I recalled right these get detected automatically if the file 
conf.php is present.
It is (because it is copied from the old install) but for some reason 
now it doesn't show up.

Any ideas?
