Same problems for me yesterday. Didn't receive any message via the news
client except one or two smaller groups.
Michael Stucki sent me a mail telling me to remove the news.netfielders.de
account and then set it up from scratch again. (Means you have to reselect
every single list you had before)

After that everything worked fine.
