[Typo3-dev] Reference image instead of copying

Hi!

I have a couple of multilanguage sites that use TemplaVoila and FCEs.
Each FCE contain a number of images. Images are the same for all
languages. The problem is: when I select image, typo3 makes a copy of
it. Thus it results of there identicals copies of the image from
"fileadmin" folder. Big waste of resources, especially if disk space is
limited.

What does the community think about it? Should referencing of images be
allowed instead of copying it all the time?
