Why not? Is there any special reason for such a good thing not being 
part of the 3.9 release? I think TYPO3 would really benefit from it.
If a patch is ready and it works without side effects, is there any 
reason against putting it into 3.8.0? AFAIK until the RC comes out, new 
features can be implemented.
