I think this should really be solved somehow - but I have no time or 
in-depth knowledge of this. And as I don't like those 'I help'->'No 
answer' promises, I don't ask too loud for a solution, but... :)

And I don't get that one.
Do you just mean, a possible mp3id extension should provide some custom 
higher-level functions for handling id3-tags?

I thought it would be nice if this extension or it features could be 
integrated in the DAM project, but I think this one is still in someones 
safe and I won't get a hand on it...

and btw.: Maybe we should think about running a funding-initiative on 
DAM maybe beginning next year after the snowboard-tour? (means I would 
join it)
I think the fileadmin is one of the most boring places in the BE.
