[Typo3-dev] [Typo3] [Announcement] TYPO3 3.7.0 released

Hi TYPO3 users,

today TYPO3 version 3.7.0 has been released and is available for
download from http://typo3.org/download/packages/.

This release contains some new features, notably:
  - access control on per-value level
  - versioning (see the new "version" extension)
  - PHP5 compliancy
  - the locallang data is now stored in XML files
  - many bugs have been fixed

A detailed changelog is included in the packages and can also be viewed

Some important points on upgrading:
  - Please, read carefully "Installation and Upgrade of TYPO3" before
    upgrading.

  - Read the RELEASE_NOTES.txt that is included in the packages.
  - Clear your PHP accelerator cache (if applicable)
    for turck-mmcache users this is not necessary.

And especially for Windows users:
  - Don't just overwrite the old sources with the new ones but CLEANLY
    replace them by deleting (or moving) the old ones first.
  - Don't forget to update index.php and showpic.php as well!
