[Typo3-dev] tstamp DB TYPO3 API ?

Hi,

It seems that:

$GLOBALS['TYPO3_DB']->exec_UPDATEquery($table,$where,$fields_values);

doesn't update tstamp field of tt_content table, is there any better API 
call than this method which handle that kind of detail ?
