Thank you for the link. Most interesting is the part: CVS and TER and 
your comment!

But there are two reason why I find this behaviour disturbing:
1) Installing extensions for the TER which includes CVS information get 
the folder marked as this folder would be in the own CVS (s. 
makeautotemplate e.a.).
2) The extension manager "Information" complains that some files changes 
  because it's also checking the CVS folders :-(
3) There are some good reasons for addional folders into the extension 
that should not be uploaded, when hidden. I would prefer the solution 
WYSIWYG.
