Flex form in plugin configuration Re: [Typo3-dev] CODE field replacement

Is there a guide (besides reading the tt_news code) to configure TS with 
the flex-form variant that tt_news uses?
A hint of where to look for understanding the hierachy for exactly this 
functionality would be greatly appreciated ...
