[Typo3-dev] FlexForm in Web>List-Mode - how?

Hi all,

I have an extension with Records that can only be edited in the Web>List 
mode, since the records contain too many fields to display them all on one 
page/form I would like to present the editors a FlexForm with some 
sheets..., but how do I switch from tca.php-configuration to 
flexform_ds.xml-configuration? The example in TYPO3 Core APIs only shows it 
in connection with tt_content.
