[Typo3-dev] want's to replace uid field with the name field

Hi All,

I am creating a new extension for my site.In this there is a form which is 
to be filled up in the backend.In this form I want to have two fields one 
for country and another one for the cities.Now for the country field I have 
used the static_info_tables extension and got all country names and for city 
field I have created my own extension with the name static_cities contains 
all city names.Now when I refer this in my extesion I get the uid of the 
cities in drop down but I want the name of the cities instead of drop down.

Could anybody know how to replace this uid field with the name field.Your 
help would be highly appreciated.
