[Typo3-dev] extension TCA question

I imagined that a selector box for each "level" was present in the form
and that the values and their "tree" were stored in JavaScript. So an
update of a box on the first level will trigger a change of the content
in the second box which in turn will change the content in the third box
etc. Actually this is how the TypoScript JSMENUs work. Similar to that. 

This could be made with the "user" field type and thus you can implement
this by an extension as proof of concept. Probably that is the best idea
eventually!
