[Typo3-dev] any "best extension prototype" to copy from?

hallo ext. developers

i'm about to dive into ext. development
since i'm not a php geniuos, but have many years of programming 
experiences, and i'm very good at.. "cut and paste" :)
i wanted to find the two best developed extension around to learn from
i know there are many "cigar" around..
but i'm looking for a good, modern , 3.7 style, coding guideline.
i'll need to develop detailed FE interaction (for search and editing of 
records), and a good backend module.

right now i learn much from tt_news (but hasn't much FE users related 
editing stuff, nor backend module)

have you any suggestion?
