I sorta like the archived nature of the list myself, but there is merit 
to using IRC to more quickly consolidate ideas... and a log could be 
posted. By the way, there is usually an irc.freenode.net #typo3 channel 
open. I wish there was more traffic there... hint hint. There is also a 
#typo3-de channel... although I don't speak German...
