I just looked at wiki.typo3.org:
I think one problem may be that the TYPO3 Layout for documents had more 
diffrent Styles (like header1, header2, source, tablecontent...) than 
the wiki page had.. I dont know how much work it is and if it is 
possible with the wiki system but perhaps it would be great to have this 
  layoutstyles in wiki too?
Other issues:
- how to edit a referencetable in wiki (did it support tables?)
- XSLT may fail when images must be converted to the OO-XML representation?
