[Typo3-dev] How to configure tt-news CATEGORY LIST view?

First of all, sorry for crossposting this but I am not sure if it is a
code problem or a configuration problem.

In my tt_news I have defined 4 categories. There is a main page for
all news and subpages for each category.

With "LIST" on the mainpage, all items are displayed and new pages are
generated for items that don't fit on one page.
WITH "LIST /x/0" on the subpage, only 10 items are displayed and no
new pages are generated for the other items.

I thought I could change this behaviour by putting in TS Config:

plugin.tt_news.limit = 0

but this doesn't change anything.

What is going wrong here?
