Hhhm?!? Using a non-web-client is not that cool... 

Take kaspers mailing list extension, put it on your server, set it up and have fun with your own mailinglist-gateway. 

Another solution could be to use some php news client like http://phpnewsreader.chezwam.net/ but I don't think that this could be a real alternative (I'm using this right now). 

If I would set up another newsgateway for typo3-people on my server by using an extended kasper extension, would anybody have a problem with that or do you think that would be cool? *g

Does such a solution already exist?
Whats the problem with typo3-newsarchive? I could acknowledge that archive does not mean realtime synchronisation...
