[Typo3-dev] More advanced permissions handling?

I'm planning to take just take the security classes from it. I have been 
working with it before ( I switched from opnphpnuke to typo3)
and it's really easy. All it needs a few classes and one or two tables.

In the BE it can display the more advanced permission settings, not on a 
page base but on a extention base, more like
what FE user can do what in the extentions (add/read/change/add 
item/delete item/ etc. etc. etc.)
I think that that is not possible yet with the current permission system 
which does only page based permission. right?
