Well, I couldn´t disagree more with you on your personal views. I think it´s
great that Typo3 is finally "running for government" in Denmark. There are
pros and cons with it like there is with any of the systems deployed,
fundamentally, though, Typo3 is "fueled" by ideas and open sharing of
knowledge and not by the economics and limitations of some company. - And
it´s basically just as strong in technology as the typically deployed
systems like InterWoven, Web500, Vignette and others - just a little bit
more flexible due to the 100% access to core and source.
- But to answer your question - yes it is possible, to some extend with the
basic typo3 core itself and by several freely available extensions, such as
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/search/de_custom_tags/
To get in-depth answers to your questions, you should contact Sune
Vestergaard at typosonsult.dk and possibly also take a look at www.e.gov.dk
or www.forbrug.dk as cases for DK gov implemetations of typo3.
