I meant this in the sense of using API functions for the checks.
Btw. i just did a search over the whole typo3 source for 
explizit_allowdeny but cannot really find something that matches what I 
need.

t3lib_befunc::getExplicitAuthFieldValues() is the thing that is closest 
to what I need but maybe you could point out where I can find the API 
function to access the fields.

The patch itself works fine but depends on the syntax of the DENY fields 
in the DB.
