Apart from the fact that I don't find the extension (is it withdrawn 
already?), I don't see much differences (from Gert's site) between this 
and the js menus TYPO3 has offered for years. But that's not the main point.

AFAIK the extension *must* be GPLed, not even a GPL-compatible license 
will do because a) GPL says so (if you consider an extension a derived 
work) and b) a, say, BSD-licensed extension could itself be extended 
and/or used as non-free which is exactly what we don't want.
