Just a few UI observations:

Server record:
- password field is plain text (pwd is visble)
- configuration field wraps
- domain field not hidden for non-MS LDAP server types

No feedback on configuration errors:

tx_ldapauth_sv1->authUser has not even writeDevLog calls. I had troubles 
cause I had a broken config (mismatching brackets). I needed to add 
something like "No config found".

I also think that "No LDAP server available." and my "No config found" 
should be found on a more prominent place. The dev log is not sufficient.

Configuration via TS is very flexible but not simple to use. Ideas:
- preconfigured TS for common server types
- "constant editor" for usual fields (server type dependent)?
- add-on extensions that provide specific configurations

Not ready yet (from an "ease of deployment" view), but extremly 
flexible. Looks like a great framework.
