[Typo3-dev] IE 5.5 and BE

It's the method getElementById().

The problem can be solved, but...

Is there already some browser detection in place? Is it better to change 
the PHP code or is a JS getElementById-emulation the better apporoach.

... or is 5.5 simply to old to be supported?
