as far as i understood, the ldap extensions you have written work on the
services foundatio by rene. i did not see any reason to change that, because
i think, that many like us, are still making their experience with the ldap
extensions at the moment.

no. There is interest, but i think that integration at this moment is OK and

this seems an interessting part, but bearing the risk of breaking some
bridges...

as you may know it yourself: ldap is a hell of protocol. you can do almost
everything with it. we are playing around on a nds installation for a
client, but the project is in an early stage.
