Didn't try but I'm surprised it doesn't work.

AFAIR you have to set up the allowed tables and fields. And you have to 
keep in mind that if you search in multiple tables that the search will 
use a SQL join on these tables. This sucks eg if you'll never find a 
page without any content and the search is set up to look in all title 
and header fields.
