[Typo3-dev] Cache-functions in the frontend

Hi,

I'm writing a plugin that I want to cache some of it's data, very much 
like t3lib_BEfunc::get/storehash does it. I'd like to take advantage of 
the convenience of the 'Clear all cache'-button.

Is there any reason these functions aren't present in the frontend that 
I should be aware of, or should I just go ahead and put the data 
directly in the cache_hash-table?
