You should also check out amfPHP (http://www.amfphp.org), which is a 
very decent open-source flash-remoting system. I have been using amfphp 
a lot and it really works nicely. I have also been thinking about 
integrating it into typo3, so you could get content and structure into 
your flash-movie by doing a flash-remoting function-call (and 
vice-versa!). Should not be to difficult. I'll think about it...
