We installed that for a client recently on 3.6.0RC1, did some bug
fixes as well. If someone else could do the coding, we could of course
summarize everything we did and hand that over.

Rather than trying to do even more coding (dbal has enough to offer
;), I already said I'd work on improving the existing direct mail
tutorial (written by Marlies Cohen). Since documentation is always a
part of a good extension, I'd like to join forces with that :)
