[Typo3-dev] TYPO3 version 4.0.0?

You didn't notice? 
- A RTE API is *reality* right now. If you have the latest TYPO3 source
you are in fact running the old RTE on that API
- I have too proof-of-concept alternatives on my dev server:
	- "rtehtmlarea" : Based on HTMLArea 3.0. It works on my Linux *today*
	- "rteekit" : Based on Open Source Java RTE. This is a poor product - I
just wanted to provide an example for how a Java RTE can be done.


So why did it finally happen? I'm sorry, but (again?) I turned out to be
the self-igniting fireworks. Where did the other dusin of promises go?
(OK, for justice I *have* been saying "please wait for the API". In fact
my hope is that the "rtehtmlarea" extension I have started will be
finalized by someone else!)
