I know. And that is the place I started.

I think you generally are right about this.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that most developers would be able to use CVS by this
description. But I don't think it is necessary to read all the sf-pages
which are
linked to, to learn how to use cvs in general. And some might give up,
because
it's just too much information.
Maybe I would just like to be taken by the hand the first time, without
reading
pages up and down?
Well that's just how I experienced it.
Anyways - I'll contact Andreas to hear his opinion.
