I think we should have some sort of a CVS guide on Typo3.org.
Recently I wanted to start a extension called news_pack on typo3xdev, but
think it was very hard to learn just to retrieve anything from typo3xdev.
On the typo3xdev page on typo3.org, there are som links to sourceforge.net
documents. But I don't think these documents makes it much more simple for
newstarters in cvs.
I think that we should have a guide which explains in details what to do if
you
want to:
1)Download(let's say fx. an extension) from a cvs-repository
(is that the correct term?)
2)Contribute to an extension or create your own on typo3xdev
with a selected cvs-client for windows and linux.
I'm sorry that I don't have the knowledge (yet!) to write such a guide, but
I
would Imagine that if we had suchs a guide, we would see more people using
the typo3xdev too.
