And this exactly will be the marketing problem in the future. TeX e.g.
has the same. NO (No like in NON, silch, whatever) Major Version number
change since about 10 years I think, just having 3.141592653589.....
As TYPO3 will have all markable (? am I right?) additions in the extensions
there soon needs to be a versioning taking the extensions also into
account, which (I think) will lead to the problem of which extensions
to put into the versioning and which not. ....
OK after continuing reading I saw that you exactly say the same.
The question stays: What is "EXTENSION ENOUGH" and what not.
