event though i am no insider at all regarding these things, my 1/4 lb 
with cheese on this topic is that kasper carries the "core-load" right 
now, also he is the best bugtracking system i can imagine :)

as long as kasper is working on the core i feel very good about it since 
he implemented conceptional things that most other people just dont get 
(yet) - at least not that well. "public bugfixing" would make sense at 
another point, for huge extensions or something like this. in other 
words: typo3 is not linux, the main difference is the fact that kasper 
*can* do these things mostly on his own - thats why i trust in it so 
much because one man knows best what he actually does.
