Uh, pleas no.

after 3.6 or 4.0 or wharever please onsider a CVS branch with a "stable" 
3.6.x or 4.0.x that only incorpotares security and serious bug fixes, 
but no dramatic changes.

Should be IMHO a new branch, so development could go on freely. Things 
can be in the flux without worryingh about the stable release.

Apropos versioning, I vote for a beta phase for the next release. I 
mean, RC1 of 4.6 really was a beta and not a release canidate (DBAL 
layer added, i18n stuff geting in etc.).
