By design you cannot do this. As you say, its a *reference* to the
*same* obejct. No way (ever) to change settings without making a copy.
BUT there is a work around. Since you are using TEmplaVoila the way
would be to create a "Flexible Content Element" as a "placeholder" for
the reference. All the "Flexible Content Element" does is to let you
insert a number of content elements (there you reference goes) and for
the placeholder element you can of course set any endtime you like.
