Hi NG,
some of you may remember my posts regarding a new search engine. It's
fnished and stable.
But unfortunately it won't be released till the upcoming final release
of T3 3.6
Reason for this is DBAL - we are going to add this straight to the
extension. The commercial version of the scanner tool doesn't care about
databases, but there are some limitations of course.
A lot of TypoScript has been added for your pleasure so I also have to
write a documentation for this first.
The current version is working GODLIKE fast with a database (sematic
tables only) about 5 GB in size. The average processing value for each
search is about 0.5 seconds on a medium sized eServer.
The Browser comes along in two languages - German and English. We are
looking forward to get some assistance in translation to french an
other. So if you're interestet, just drop me a note. There are only a
few words and a small help file to translate.
The only limitation we embedded is that you won't be able to scan
folders or files. You will be able to set some options for used
extensions like tt_news, tt_calendar, two-/three-column text and some
other most used ones.
A press note will be released within the next two weeks at
www.semantikbrowser.de.
The first appearance of the browser will be www.ihk-siegen.de.
Other languages than german will experience some strange results because
stop word lists have to finished. There are some switches you can mess
with to get better results.
Looking forward,
Jörg
