[Typo3-dev] text alignment in RTE doesn't work

Hi List!
Have a problem with the RTE. I tried to center text, which then appears
centered in the RTE window, but when I save and view the site it is not
centered. I tried every solution, it only works when I turn on HTML and
delete the div sections it created and replace them with "<center>-tags".
Soes anyone know what the solution is?
By the way it's neither working with the quickstart install package on my
machine or the freesite package on my server.
