[Typo3-dev] formatting fields in selectorbox

hi
when I have a database relation in the BE where I select the records 
from "global storage page" I would like to preprocess the data which is 
inserted. maybe an example helps to show you my problem:
I would like to insert dates (from another table) into my record. since 
the date is formatted as an integer I do not see a real date but only a 
number.

any hints?
