[Typo3-dev] merging extensions?

Ahh yeah. I remember reading this post sometime ago.
It's good that Kasper makes it clear what the intentions about the
extensions are. But, -
I still think it's rather confusing. And it must be very confusing for
newbies of Typo3 that you cannot just install the different extensions and
expect them to work.
Maybe there should be some sort of warning (which is easy to understand),
which states that you can expect problems if you install more than one
extension for another extension.

License wise, will it be a problem to merge two extensions, as long as i
mention the authors of the original extensions?
