[Typo3-dev] PNG, frames and ImageMagick 5

We should hire a sniper to make sure there will be no more new versions
of ImageMagick. :-)
Take a look at the configuration options for image processing in TYPO3.
Does it look clean? Could it be that this mess is what results when you
are constantly trying to adapt TYPO3 to work with every new version and
behavior of IM?
I'm sorry, but it currently works for me. I'm using IM 5.x something
from Michael Stuckis debian packages. It works and I'm too old and tired
to spend more time on making new IM versions work.
However I think they have pretty much capture the state of their own
software in they slogan: "Image manipulation software that works like
magick". Yes, it works pretty unpredictable and sometimes not at all.
Not to mention the irony of the "HELP!" icon in the bottom of their
website... :-)
Sorry, rest in peace Mr. John Cristy.
