[Typo3-dev] Enhancing the tt_products extension via CVS

Generally I have absolutely no problem with people who want to work more
on my old extensions like "tt_products". Personally I know I'm through
with them and I will not develop them any further really.

One requirement from me would be that someone would actually clean it
up, write the manual once and for all at the same time. Otherwise I
might be less positive. Basically; take over the maintenance of the
extension.

I have one big problem though: I need backwards compatibility! To me the
cost of giving this control away is that some of my own implementations
break! And I do NOT have time to fix that. In other words I risk that
such a decision might force me to spend time on bug-fixing very old
sites I have running and there is nothing I hate more.

If you can guarantee me a high respect for this and in any case you
create a compatibility problem that is is only few and well documented
how to work around it easily, then I'm positive. BUt if you say yes, you
are obligated to go all the way.
