[Typo3-dev] Typo3 and Images

maybe this just question doesn't fit in this mailinglist but as i got no answer in the user one, and i don't think 
that it's a hard to answer question, i wanted to try to get help from the dev list

i just created a new image element on a page an the image-size is
738x515 pixel. in some tutorial i read that there is a maxWidth set to
460.

Could someone tell me how to change the value, or better disable the
feature?
