yes, but shouldn't they be displayed as normal time in the record-mask
(when the user puts the data into it)? isn't this done by the extension
manager?

how do this work for the normal date-type in typo3.
you type a "t" and a tab and it's pretty formated to e.g. 15-8-2003.
