[Typo3-dev] extension manager & data types

hello group,

i'm currently developing a frontend plugin event-calender and i have
problem with the data types provided by the extension manager.

for to "time-fields" i have selected string-input-advanced and there,
check for time (hour, minute).

if i test the plugin(put some records into it), i changes the values
for the time fields to normal int-values, also in the database-scheme
these values are integer types.

do i understand something wrong or is there a bug in the manager?
what is the correct format for the input by these types (e.g 15:45 ?)
